Johnny was born and raised in Ireland and moved to the UK some 18 years ago.

Johnny is a recognized leader in the field of Sport & Exercise Medicine and has a wealth of clinical experience and a proven track record of working with sports persons of all types and ages ranging from the recreational squash player right through to professional footballers and international athletes.

As well as being a qualified physiotherapist, Johnny has obtained a degree in Sport Science, a Masters in Sport & Exercise Medicine, a Post-grad in Manual Therapy with MACP accreditation and has been published in Scientific journals in his quest to provide the best possible treatment for his patients. 

He additionally published “A Comprehensive Guide to Sports Physiology & Injury Management” with Stuart Porter (2020), and has lead several Sports Medicine Departments in Professional football which include Notts County FC, Scunthorpe United FC, Chesterfield FC and more recently FC Halifax.

Johnny regularly speaks at International conferences and has presented at Barcelona FC, Belgium, America, Canada, England & Ireland on Performance Rehabilitation for Athletes.

In his free time, Johnny loves spending quality time with his son, Aodhan, and his springer spaniel puppy, Jack. He is passionate about surfing and carving out long turns in fresh powder, a coffee lover and loves a tweet!!!!

2-Day Live Masterclass

This 2-day course has been shaped to combine effective assessment, treatment, and functional rehabilitation methods of the Lower Limb: Hip, Knee, Ankle, and Foot as it relates to the running athlete. Participants will be educated on the tools necessary to understand the basics of rehab in runners, as well as performing a video analysis of a runner and the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to impact a runner immediately.  The tutor has a strong background in the management of runners and will present a course that will allow clinicians to enhance their existing knowledge and positively impact their respective practices. The content is constantly updated with new evidence-based practices from clinical experience and concurrent research.
